SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY CENTER
INTERPRETIVE GRAPHICS PROGRAM
In support of the academy's environmental education curriculum, the science center's interpretive graphics program uses lively displays to engage students and inform them about their local environment and the technology that helps to conserve it. The program includes a large graphic mural about the Wissahickon Watershed, as well as freestanding displays that explain the many sustainable features of the center’s LEED-certified building. Sandblasted illustrations of local flora and fauna on the central bluestone help foster a playful learning environment.
